OpenAI calls the Decisions API a limited preview. Access details, a signup path, and a general-availability date have not been published. "Coming days" is the only phrasing used for a broader release.

What is published: it accepts text or image context, a question, and a finite set of developer-defined answers, and returns an answer plus confidence and probabilities. It is described as running a specialized GPT-6 Luna version.

How to get in

There is no self-serve waitlist to link to. The practical path is an OpenAI platform account and watching the official docs and changelog for when the Decisions API opens beyond the preview.

Be careful with third-party write-ups: anything showing SDK calls like client.decisions.create is invented — OpenAI has not published an SDK surface for it.
